Welcome to Wildlife Surveys Ireland
We offer full Ecological and Wildlife surveys anywhere in Ireland. We have provided Further Information for County Councils for planning applications. We have provided evidence as expert witnesses at oral hearings for planning applications for roads, rail and light rail, housing, hotels, quarries and many other projects. We have also surveyed bridges for the NRA and county councils in Meath, Westmeath, Longford, Kilkenny, Laois, Carlow, Offaly, Wicklow, Dublin, Mayo, Roscommon, Galway and Donegal. Our services include park surveys and we have surveyed parks throughout Fingal, Dun Laoghaire - Rathdown and proposed parks in Meath.
Wind farms have formed a major aspect of the survey work in recent years. Detector surveys of proposed wind farms can be undertaken as can bat corpse searches using a sniffer dog.
What Can We Do For You?
Brian and Donna have a long experience of bat detector surveys and the identification of bats from ultrasonic calls, and all are fully licensed to carry out surveys. Brian and Donna are both on the Heritage Council bat expert panel and regularly survey buildings proposed for grant aid. Both are licensed to capture and handle bat species and enter bat roosts. Without a licence, it is an offence to interfere with bats or their roosts.
Brian also carries out bird surveys for developments, biodiversity studies, monitoring programmes of species such as the Hen Harrier and winter shorebirds.
Donna has trained in Sustainable Development and Providing an Audit of Sustainability and has undertaken this for Trim town and projects in Dublin, Meath and Kildare. She produces sustainable development plans for villages and projects, incorporating business, the social fabric and biodiversity of an area. She also provides sustainable product auditing for goods and services.
