A sustainable future
We’re committed to our vision of a world in harmony with nature. Find out more about our sustainability plan - and what you can do to help Irish wildlife flourish.
Our commitments
All of the mitigation and habitat enhancement measures we recommend are trialled at our own nature reserve in Golashane
We plant a tree for every survey we carry out
Our office is a bat roost for common pipistrelles
We use HVO biofuel, and electricity from renewable sources - including 5kwh solar panels
All company cars are electric
5% of our profits go to charity, with our charities for 2025 including Sightsavers, Médecins Sans Frontières, and the Kildare Wildlife Hospital
All food purchased by the company is vegetarian
At least 50 per cent of office and computer equipment is second hand
All directors volunteer at minimum 200 hours per year with charity and community organisations
Make Your Home a Nature Reserve
Learn how to make your home and garden suitable for wildlife with a new book by our director Donna Mullen, published by O’Brien Press. Reviewers described the book as “gorgeous” (Image Magazine), “helpful, practical and – probably most important of all – achievable” (Sunday Independent) and “really beautiful, full of brilliant information” (Today with Claire Byrne, RTÉ Radio 1).
